People told us that they liked how that concept "slowed down the furious pace of the web", meaning that we could focus on the best and not water ourselves down with filler. Where FreshArrival only asks for a minute or two of your time, FreshPhotograph asks for just a moment to check out today's One Amazingly Cool Photograph.
Photography can be true art. Where a painter hones her craft through brush technique, drawing skills, and mastering the materials of the trade, a photographer learns to light her scenes, adjust the shutter speed, and meticulously focus. Both the painter and the photographer share an affinity for details, color theory, and an advanced sense of gestalt. But just like a child might fingerpaint a masterpiece, an Amazing Photograph might be taken from a cameraphone that was at the right place at the right time.
